Guest: Dave Riddell

Our second guest for this podcast is Dr. Dave Riddell. Working with Ocean Networks Canada (ONC) at the University of Victoria, Dave supports the teaching and learning of marine and environmental science in universities, colleges, and communities through courses and field programs using data from ONC’s deep-sea observatories and coastal sensors. His research background is in ecotoxicology, with a focus on the roles of community science and community-based research in addressing local environmental problems. As an educator, Dave’s work is trauma-informed and embraces critical pedagogy, open education, and transformative praxis.
